Howdy, everyone! I’m just wrapping up a three-day visit to the American Telemedicine Association annual meeting in Baltimore and on my way back to Billings. The ATA is an eye-popping meeting with more than 5,000 in attendance and offers the biggest Exhibit Hall dedicated to Telehealth in the world. The NRTRC crew has been helping to staff the National TRC Coalition’s booth in the Exhibit Hall, attending meetings and gawking at all the new Telehealth devices.
I’ll tell you more as time goes on, but I wanted to share with you another reason to practice Telehealth: Infection Control. According to NBC News, that’s a big issue and getting bigger. Hand washing is key, and this article offers some surprises. Rather than try to put a synopsis together (and to avoid embarrassing my physician friends), I thought I’d just share the link to the article with you and let you decide whose hand to shake: http://nbcnews.to/1oXoUOO
