I wrote last week that we were coming back from the American Telemedicine Association’s Annual Meeting in Baltimore. Here’s a little more detail about what we did. Doris, Patricia, Martha and I talked to a few people about Telehealth in general and Telehealth in the Northwest in particular. In fact, we logged 108 separate conversations with people interested in what we do. The folks who visited us in the Exhibit Hall ranged from experienced providers to hospital employees who had just found out they were in charge of building a Telehealth program. We exchanged information, business cards and strategies for Telehealth development. We talked about state and national regulations and equipment considerations. It was a busy three days in the Exhibit hall, but it was exhilarating and fun. We didn’t speak with Telehealth providers only. We had a lot of time to catch up with our colleagues from the other 13 TRCs and share wisdom and several laughs with them. Our big question was “Who’s Your TRC?” and we answered that question with NRTRC ribbons to attach to our conference badges.
