I’m meeting with my counterparts from across the country. We’re discussing the future of telehealth and of the Telehealth Resource Centers (TRCs) and what kinds of services we can provide to our members as time goes on. I always like these meetings because it’s an opportunity to share ideas, get questions answered and talk with our sponsors from the Office for Advancement of Telehealth in Washington, DC. One topic we’re kicking around is the possibility of a new TRC aimed specifically at educating the public and creating an awareness of the advantages of telehealth, especially in rural and frontier areas. Funding may be too tight for such a center, but our group may be able to figure out a unique approach to the subject.
