New Year's it a time of reflection for most of us and NRTRC is no different. We take stock, think about successes and lessons learned and make plans for the future. Here's a small look back: In 2014 we handled 178 technical assistance requests from 17 states, the District of Columbia and one Canadian Province. While most of the T/A requests were from our seven-state region, there were a few from other TRCs or organizations our colleagues referred to us. NRTRC won't refuse to help someone from outside the area, but we do tend to encourage 'outsiders' to see their regional TRC. Our Board members and staff have presented to groups, too, with 810 folks hearing about telehealth and NRTRC in various venues. Part of the 810 total comes from our monthly webinars, of course. We've presented eleven webinars in 2014 (we skipped March because we were in Portland with our annual Regional Telehealth Conference and we felt that was as good as a webinar!).
So what's up for next year? Of course we want to increase our numbers for technical assistance and presentations by about 10% and will continue to offer 11 webinars. We'll be working on white papers, too. In particular, the staff was charged by the Board with the task of figuring out where telehealth will go in the future, so we'll be working on that when we're not working to help our members expand or develop their telehealth networks.
2014 was a good year and we're looking for an even better 2015. Happy New Year from the NRTRC staff!
