This conference was conceived as a new collaborative enterprise between several of the region’s stroke systems and is open to all professional stroke caregivers to learn from each other as we take care of our communities. This event will discuss the most current evidence-based practice and emerging concepts in the stroke continuum of care, and address the most critical issues in acute stroke intervention and rehabilitation. 

Objectives:

• Engage national stroke and rehabilitation thought leaders to address common challenges in optimizing stroke care in our region
• Discuss latest advances in stroke systems of care, personalized stroke medicine, neurorehabilitation science, and community stroke support
• Establish a forum to partner with community stroke centers towards improving stroke care and rehabilitation in the region

As telehealth became more widely utilized during COVID-19, it became clear that some segments of the population may be left behind due to inability to access the technology. One segment of the population, patients with disabilities, may have encountered unique barriers to accessing care through telehealth. This webinar will focus on what Medicaid programs and other state agencies have done to help ensure people with disabilities can utilized telehealth.

This interactive four-week mini-series will explore the telehealth challenges encountered by FQHCs during the start of the pandemic, including engagement of hard to reach populations, staff engagement, making smart and effective telehealth technology decisions and decisions about where to go with telehealth after the end of the public health emergency.
