This program provides grants to encourage and improve telemedicine and distance learning services in rural areas through the use of telecommunications, computer networks, and related advanced technologies to be used by students, teachers, medical professionals, and rural residents.

SETRC and Nicklaus Children's Health System have partnered with FCC Lifeline phone provider, Pulsewrx, to recruit pediatric Medicaid patients participating in Nicklaus' teledental program at four clinics to receive Lifeline phones preloaded with the Nicklaus teledental app and SETRC's Toddler Tracks program. The program will evaluate the effectiveness of telehealth in improving patient-centered access and outcomes among intervention and control groups.
