- AI in Healthcare Settings: Navigating Safety, Equity, and Accountability: May 15 @ 1:00 pm
Description: The use of AI in healthcare settings has grown at a remarkable pace. According to a 2025 American Medical Association survey, two in three physicians now use AI tools in their practice, a 78% increase from just one year prior. With this rapid adoption comes an urgent need for critical conversation about the unique risks these tools present for healthcare professionals and the patients they serve: the perpetuation of bias against already-marginalized populations, erosion of clinical accountability, and over-reliance on systems that may not be transparent, well-validated, or equitably designed. With comprehensive regulation still lagging innovation, it is more important than ever to foster a community of providers who are equipped to evaluate AI tools critically and use them responsibly. This webinar equips healthcare professionals with practical frameworks to assess AI safety, define appropriate use, and make informed decisions about whether and how to advocate for AI tools in their own clinical settings.

- NCTRC Webinar - Rural Health Transformation Fund: Workforce Trends and Implications for Rural Care: May 21
Description: State Rural Health Transformation Fund (RHTF) plans represent a major opportunity to strengthen rural health systems, and workforce development is a common theme across these efforts. But how states define and address workforce challenges varies widely. In this session, the Telehealth Technology Assessment Center (TTAC) will share findings from a review of all 50 state RHTF plans, highlighting how workforce issues are framed, what strategies states are prioritizing, and how emerging care models such as telehealth and digital health are reflected in workforce planning. The webinar will also explore an emerging challenge: the workforce needed to support technology-enabled care in rural settings. As telehealth, remote monitoring, and other digital tools expand, rural providers increasingly rely on technical and operational support that may not be fully reflected in current workforce strategies. Participants will gain a better understanding of workforce trends across state RHTF plans and the potential implications for rural health organizations, telehealth programs, and workforce development efforts.
