Nicki Perisho, BSN, RN

Ms. Nicki Perisho is the Program Director of the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center (NRTRC), based out of the University of Utah. Ms. Perisho joins her team virtually from Whitefish, Montana. She has worked in telehealth since 2010 and is considered a pioneer in the field, leading efforts for telehealth growth, utilization and sustainability for more than a decade.

In her capacity at the NRTRC, she engages in collaborative efforts to create and share valuable telehealth resources and educational materials. The NRTRC’s mission is to support telehealth initiatives within its seven-state region, encompassing Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Ms. Perisho is also an Executive Board Member for the Montana Telehealth Alliance, the longest-standing operational State Telehealth collaborative.

With a focus on serving the unique needs of rural and underserved populations, Perisho draws upon her rich background in telehealth leadership. This experience was gained as a telehealth program leader at a regional hospital in rural Montana, where she was responsible for overseeing telehealth service delivery, expansion and enhancement. During the COVID Public Health Emergency, Perisho mobilized physicians and clinics to ramp up their telehealth operations to meet the need.

Her clinical background and experience in several medical specialties equip her with a deep understanding of the needs of healthcare providers and patients. This insight translates into a highly intuitive and effective approach for supporting telehealth best practices within healthcare organizations.

In Ms. Perisho’s free time, she enjoys skiing, playing hockey, hiking, reading, and family time with her husband, eleven-year-old daughter and thirteen-year-old son.
